Origin of Afromosia:
Afromosia is commonly known as African teak, despite not being genetically similar to true teak (Tectona grandis). Grain is usually straight, though it can be interlocked. With a fine, uniform texture and good natural luster.
Color of Afromosia:
The heartwood showcases a tinge of yellowish-brown hue, sometimes featuring a reddish or olive-toned shade, which darkens over time. Meanwhile, the sapwood, also known as the narrow outermost layer, appears pale yellow and is distinguishable from the heartwood.

Rated as very durable, with good insect/borer resistance.
